Studied the interdisciplinary study course nanostructure science at the University of Kassel with emphasis on physics, chemistry and biology. His diploma thesis related to the area of laser technology employing organic semiconductor materials. He conducted his doctoral dissertation in the field of vertical emitting lasers on the basis of organic semiconductor materials at the Institute of Nanostructure Technologies and Analytics in Kassel.

He joined Manitz Finsterwald Patent- und Rechtsanwaltspartnerschaft mbB in 2015 and qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 2020 and as European Patent Attorney in 2021. Registered representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) since 2023.
