After leaving school, Mr. Ende initially trained as a tool and die maker, and was employed in this field for several years. He went on to study engineering physics at the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten with specializations in equipment design and measurement technology. His diploma thesis focused on thermal imaging in microsystems engineering.

He joined Manitz Finsterwald Patentanwälte PartmbB as a translator and patent search specialist in 1995 and qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2013.
