Studied technical physics at the Technical University in Munich with specializations in sensors and lasers. His dissertation related to the development of a piezoelectric energy transducer. He has worked in intellectual property since 1990 and qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 1993 and as a European Patent Attorney in 1994.
Im gewerblichen Rechtsschutz tätig seit 1990, Zulassung als deutscher und europäischer Patentanwalt in den Jahren 1993 und 1994.

He joined Manitz Finsterwald Patentanwälte PartmbB in 1996. Registered representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) since 2023.
